I’m so glad you’re here.

My name is Casandra (she/they) and I’m a contemporary broom and brush maker based out of San Antonio, TX.

Broom making found me during a vulnerable time, when I was contemplating sobriety, relandscaping my emotional garden in therapy, and otherwise learning about who I was. When I traveled to Berea, KY, in 2022 to learn from Cynthia Main of Sunhouse Craft, I had no idea how my life would shift. My heart found its home when broomcorn found my hands.

In December of 2023, I closed the chapter on a 17 year career in a trade, and have focused my full time attention to Sisterwolf. For the first quarter of this year, I had the opportunity to work alongside the staff and students at Berea College in their legendary Broomcraft department. Now back in South Texas, I have been enjoying teaching workshops, meeting new folks at markets, and working away on concepts and designs in the studio.

When I’m not making brooms, I’m cuddling cats, petting your dog, standing outside with no shoes on, dipping myself in water, or taking blurry photos of bugs I’ve found.
